Week of August 5

My dear Community,

I'm excited to share a line of skincare products that aligns perfectly with our commitment to clean, natural living.

I've always believed that truly clean skincare should be so pure, it’s almost edible. A local friend of a friend started making tallow-based natural skincare products using beef fat from our farm! We butcher cows for meat here, but we can't sell it due to tight federal regulations.

After trying out her products, I’m stoked to introduce them to you. These moisturizers come in delightful scents of vanilla (which my son says smells like a cupcake) and tea tree (wonderfully refreshing). She also offers a zinc oxide-based tallow sunscreen, perfect for these sunny days. And if you aren't aware, conventional sunscreen usually hosts chemicals that can disrupt hormones, cause skin irritation, and contribute to environmental damage.

These products rub into the skin beautifully, leaving it incredibly smooth. I typically avoid adding too many products to our CSA offerings to keep distribution manageable, but this one feels too good to pass up. You can find these products in our CSA store along with all sorts of goodies to stock your fridge with this week. Being organic isn't just about the food we eat; it's a holistic lifestyle that embraces natural, sustainable choices in all aspects of our daily lives.

A friendly reminder to encourage friends to join a CSA or shop at our amazing farmers markets. You will not find our produce at your local stores anymore due to federal regulations under the guise of "food safety."

Be good to each other.
