Week of November 18
My dear Community,
As we head into the holiday season, we’re excited to let you know that next week’s boxes will include some seasonal produce perfect for holiday meals. If you already know you’ll need to skip next week, please take a moment to update your account now. This helps us plan efficiently, especially as we’ll be gathering everything a bit earlier than usual to make sure we get all the best ingredients ready for you.
Winter break notice: we will be closed December 25th through January 2nd, reopening on January 8th, so no boxes the weeks of 12/23 and 12/30. We’re looking forward to taking a short break and returning refreshed for the new year!
We had the joy of gifting every teacher at Montessori school a box last week, which was such a hit. It reminded us of the simple joy organic nourishing produce can bring. If you’d like to brighten someone’s day with a thoughtful gift, reach out to us. We’d love to help you gift a Something Good CSA box or subscription to someone special in your life.
On the farm, we’ve been working with our chickens, moving nests into the sunshine in the hopes of encouraging more egg production. As is typical this time of year, egg production slows down by two-thirds, and we appreciate your patience and understanding if we need to put your egg subscription on hold. It will start to pick up again in February as we welcome longer, brighter days.
Even though the days and nights are much colder and daylight is shorter, we’re working harder than ever to nurture the farm, knowing that each small effort helps us grow produce that supports your well-being. Thank you for being a valued part of our CSA community and for supporting us through each season. Wishing you all a warm and wonderful holiday season!
Be good to each other.
Carolyn Givens
